Title: Extension of real-time image validity by event-based updates

Abstract: A method of the extension of the real-time image validity over the measure called the temporal accuracy interval in control and the absolute validity interval for realtime databases by event-based updating is presented. The presented approach belongs to the best-effort strategy and improves the communication bandwidth because of the RT image update reduction. An analytical evaluation of the guaranteed average extension of the RT image validity over the temporal accuracy interval is reported. Both measures do not depend on the observation resolution but constitute a built-in feature of the continuous RT entity. The analytical result is validated by the simulation results for a step-response of the second-order open-loop system.
